Born in 2350, Parin grew up on the Ferengi homeworld. His father was an avid business leader and his mother was a wonderful mother to both Parin and his brother. When Parin reached the age of ascension he left home immediately in order to make his own way in the universe. Largely he was a weapons dealer and owned three freighters as well. Parin learned quickly to always cut out the middle man when able.

At the end of the Dominion War Parin continued to sell weapons to various trading partners until the early 2380s. He only recently came out of the weapons business and instead began trading hydroponics and supplies. It wasn't nearly as profitable as selling weapons had been prior to the Dominion War, however, he made things work.

By 2385 he had begun to serve as an advisor for the Ferengi government as it continued to reform and change. Parin remained fixated on the art of the deal, however, and continued to function much the same way as the Ferengi had done before Rom. By 2388 he'd been chosen to serve as one of the principle negotiators for all Ferengi business practices outside the alliance.
