Rules

Joining & Acceptance

- The USS Hooke only accepts new writers on a case by case basis and is not always actively seeking new members. Applications are always accepted, however, the Commanding Officer has ultimate say on whether a potential member may join.
- Potential applicants may be denied for any reason, and will always be given some sort of explanation if they are denied membership.
- Potential applicants should include some sort of character history and sample post. Basic grammar and spelling is requested, though not necessarily required. The Commanding Officer should at least be able to read and understand what is being put though.
- The Commanding Officer's decision is final, if you are denied do not harass the Commanding Officer.

Simm Rating

Age Rating: 15+

Language: 2 - Swearing is permitted with some limitations
Limitations - Heavy swearing is not permitted in a post. The writing should not be laced with foul language.

Sex: 2 - Sexual Content is permitted with some limitations
Limitations - Fade to black situations are okay, references to the situation are also okay. Some sexual content is okay. Explicit sexual is okay to some degree. Straight up smut is not okay.

Violence: 1 - Mild Violence
Limitations - Extremely violent situations are not permitted and not okay. References to past violence is okay.

Posting, LOA's, eLOA's

- A member is considered active when they actively post at least twice in a given month and/or are actively working on a joint post.
- LOA's are given with no question's asked and last up to 7 calendar days.
- eLOA's are given with no question's asked and last up to 30 calendar days.
- Members are expected to give weekly updates when on eLOA with an estimated return date if none was given originally or if the end date passes.

Character Guidance

- Characters are not to be in any way canon, or be related to a canon character. They must fall in line with canon Trek and may not come from other genre's or series' (i.e. Harry Potter, Star Wars, etc.)
- Members and potential members are asked to make their character unique with flaws, strengths, and weaknesses. While avoiding Mary Sue and Rambo like characters.

Rules of Behavior

- This simm and members do not tolerate harassment, bullying, trolling, etc. of any kind. If it happens OOC the member will be investigated and removed.
- Potential members who have a past history of these things will automatically not be accepted.
- Potential members who have a bad history with the Commanding Officer are also automatically not accepted. There is no public list of people who are not welcome, however, if one of them should apply they will be told if they appear on the private list of banned.
