| Personal History | Sam Bancroft was born in the year 2348 in Paris, France where his family lived at the time. His eldest brother Orson was the person Sam looked up to perhaps the most. Sam went everywhere with his big brother and so when Sam found out that his brother wanted to join Starfleet, this slowly developed into something that Sam wanted to do as well. By the time Sam had turned fourteen, and his brother had left for Starfleet, he had started looking at careers that would be suitable for him. Over the next four years he had chosen to go to Starfleet Academy himself, to study quantum mechanics and warp theory. After six years, Sam had graduated from there with his Master’s in Engineering. While at Starfleet Academy Sam Bancroft met Allyson Banks, who was studying at Yale University. They became really good friends and eventually began dating while Sam was assigned to the USS Eisenhower as an Engineering Officer. By 2376 the couple had gotten married and had a daughter whom they named Katelynn. Allyson and Katelynn joined Sam on board the Eisenhower when Bianca was two years old. By that time Sam had been transferred from Engineering to Operations, a department he would remain in for the remainder of that part of his career. He would be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and would eventually become the Chief Operations Officer on board. By 2388 Sam had an opportunity to transfer to the USS Hooke, a larger ship with better facilities on board than the Eisenhower. He took a position as the ship's Chief Operations Officer and moved his family to the ship when the crew began moving aboard. |
