| Personal History | Rayne Martinez was born in 2368 on Earth in the city of San Francisco. She is the daughter of Luis and Jocelyn and has one older sister named Amber. During her childhood Rayne became very good at playing the violin and had even, at one point, considered making a career out of it. This did, however, eventually change. During Middle School Rayne and her class were taught about the Dominion War, which had taken place when Rayne was very young, only five years old, and this was the moment things really began to change. She began looking at other options beyond her talents as a violinist. Despite some protests from her mother and father, Rayne signed up for Starfleet when she was seventeen years old. In 2386 she officially left for the Starfleet Enlisted Training Academy. Following that time she chose something that seemed interesting to her and stuck with it, leaving for Yeoman Specialist School late in that year. Her efforts were rewarded and when she graduated near the top of her class she was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Crewman Apprentice. Following her time in school she left for the USS Rutledge in 2387 where she served as the Yeoman for the ship's Command Master Chief. She was again promoted to the rank of Crewman after six months of service, then again early in 2388 after attending her secondary school while aboard the Rutledge. She was reassigned as a Third Class Petty Officer to the USS Hooke to serve as the Captain's Yeoman. |
